HH Dennis Levy QC

In 1961 Gavin Lightman obtained a first class degree in law at University College London (of which he has since been elected a Fellow) and an LLM from the University of Michigan in 1962. He was called to the Bar in 1963 and appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1980. In 1994 he was appointed a Judge of the High Court assigned to the Chancery Division. Sir Gavin was accredited as a mediator by CEDR in 2008. He has retired as a judge and now practises mainly as an international arbitrator and as a mediator. As well as having co-authored a book on Real Property Law, he has written with Gabriel Moss QC Lightman & Moss on The Law of Administrators and Receivers of Companies (now in the 5th edition). It is the leading work on the topic. Sir Gavin is married to Dr Naomi Lightman. They have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.

Deanna is a dually qualified Scottish and English Solicitor and Consultant to Barnett, Alexander Conway Ingram, Solicitors, London. She advises on immigration law, certain property matters and Get issues, with the full divorce service being provided by the firm. She is Honorary Secretary of The United Kingdom Association of Jewish Lawyers and Jurists, a member of the Legal Group of the Jewish Marriage Council and represents B'nai B'rith UK on the Board of Deputies.
Liza Tilley joined us in May 2010, taking over this role from Shirley March. She has many years of administrative experience in a wide variety of fields.
