The Association is non-political and non-profit making.

·    Anyone with an interest in the law 

 

The Association is authorised as a CPD Course Provider by

·    The Bar Standards Board 

·    The Law Society - unaccredited

·    The Institute of Legal Executives - unaccredited

 

The Association offers a programme of

·    Seminars, attracting speakers of the highest calibre 

·    Social events to facilitate networking opportunities

 

Topics addressed have included

·    Anti-Semitism

·    Business issues

·    Extradition

·    Halachic issues

·    Holocaust denial

·    Human rights

·    Issues of general Jewish concern

·    Legal issues in Israel

·    Political asylum

·    Terrorism, racism

·    War crimes legislation

 

The Association also provides

·    A forum for matters of interest and concern to Jewish jurists and lawyers

·    Social and networking opportunities 

·    Dinners, garden parties, trips and musical evenings.

 

The Association is affiliated to The International Association of Jewish Lawyers & Jurists which is based in Tel Aviv and holds conferences around the world.  It is open to members of the UK Association under separate membership, as is the magazine 'Justice' which it publishes on its website.
